Depth beats volume
One article that genuinely answers the question will out-earn ten thin ones every time. We'd rather publish less and mean it.
About Alder · est. in a Mount Vernon walk-up
We're a tiny content studio that writes for SaaS companies. Not a swarm of freelancers, not a dashboard — just two writers who'd rather get your blog ranking than send you another status report. Here's the whole story, no polish.
How this started
Both of us spent years inside agencies writing SaaS content on an assembly line — a new freelancer every month, briefs nobody read, articles that hit a word count and nothing else. Clients paid real money and got writing that could've been about anything.
So in 2023 we rented a small room above a bakery on 3rd Street, kept it to two writers and a short client list, and made a rule: the people who write your first draft are the people who write your fiftieth. No handoffs, no mystery authors.
Turns out that's exactly what founders wanted. When the same two people learn your product deeply, the content stops reading like it was ordered by the pound — and starts sounding like someone on your team wrote it on a genuinely good day. That's still the entire pitch.
What we actually believe
One article that genuinely answers the question will out-earn ten thin ones every time. We'd rather publish less and mean it.
Before a word gets written we read your docs, poke at your app, and talk to your team. Generalists lose; insiders rank.
We tie our work to real Search Console movement, not vanity word counts. If a page isn't climbing, we say so and fix it.
If content won't move the needle for you right now, we'll tell you — even if it means a smaller invoice. We'd rather keep you for years.
Who you'll actually work with
No account manager relaying messages to someone you'll never meet. You email us, we're the ones who reply — and we're the same two who wrote the draft you're replying about.
Digs through your Search Console, finds the keywords you can realistically own, and turns them into briefs that actually help the writing.
Takes the brief and your product knowledge and turns it into pieces a founder would share — then edits until every line earns its place.
What it's like to work with us
You see the editorial calendar weeks out, and drafts land when we say they will. If something's running late, you hear it from us first — not after you ask.
Packages are monthly and billed net-15. Pause when your runway's tight, scale up when you ship a big feature. We'd rather earn the next month than trap you in it.
Meta titles, descriptions, internal links, the works — you don't get a raw doc and a homework assignment. Paste it in and it's live.
Changelogs, docs, support tickets — we go where your buyers' real questions live, so the writing sounds like it came from inside the building.
Say hi before you commit to anything
Give us a few lines about your product and where your traffic's stuck. We'll reply within a business day with a plan and an honest take on which package fits — no sales dance, promise.
